Controlling the sod growing environment.

Woodward Turf Farms, Inc. uses the latest technological and an irrigation method to ensure quality sod is available for its customers when it’s needed. Our customers depend on this.

Through an annual soil testing and treating, a perfect soil balance is created and maintained to grow top quality Bermuda, Tall Turf Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, Zoysia. Fields are constantly inspected for weeds, parasites and disease, resulting in only the highest quality sod going to market.

A variety of seed blends are used to ensure the sod will withstand weather and disease common in this market area, and provide the strongest, most traffic resistant turf possible.

Land irrigation systems are used to supplement natural rain falls, ensuring steady, stress free sod growth and development.  Application of nutrients on growing sod fields is rigidly controlled to guarantee development of mature, dense and lush colored sod. Mowing is carried out in a systematic manner to ensure minimum clipping which are returned to the turf.
